Funkmaster Flex of NY's Hot 97 is making big moves. He's set to drop final album entitled 'Funkmaster Flex Volume 3 The Final Chapter'. Like his two previous 'mixtape' albums this one will have an array of musical superstars wrecking shop to Flex's beats and musical selections. Expect to hear new songs from Mariah Carey, Erykah Badu, Cocoa Brothers, Black Moon and Tribe Called Quest to name a few.

Flex noted that this will be his last album because the market is getting crowded with other high profile djs who are trying to do similar projects. There are projects in the works from djs like The Baker Boyz, Kid Capri, DJ Clue and Sway & Tech to name a few. Flex wanted to drop out before the concept got played out. His previous projects had done extremely well-both sold over a half a million copies...

In other Funkmaster Flex related news-Not only is he hosting MTV Jams, he's also concentrating on developing his Franchise Record label. He has a Bronx based group called 24/7 which consists of Nine and Jesse West who sports the name 3rd Eye. The group is set to drop a new single sometime in September called 'Show Me Love' and they are currently finishing up their debut album which will feature RZA, Cocoa Brothers, Xzibit and Lord Tariq and Peter Gunz.

Finally Flex wants it to be known that he's currently looking for acts to sign to his label. If you got skillz.. Drop him a line along with your demo tape at the following address 276 5th Ave ste 602, NY, NY 10001. Good luck and tell him Davey D sent ya..
