EMINEM
'The Eminem Show'
[Aftermath/Interscope]

9.0

There's no way you can front on this album. I think its the best of the three he's released. What stands out is Em's willingness to share himself with the audience, much like Pac.. You get a good understanding of what he's going through. That coupled with the fact that he flows well and and tells good stories helps take this album over the top.

The other thing that stands out is the fact that Em is willing to experiment both as an artist and with his beats. He ventures into uncharted rock territory with some of his songs like 'Sing For The Moment' where he samples from Aerosmith.

He also tries his hand at singing and doesn't do a bad job as evidence in songs like ' Haile's Song' and 'Cleaning Out My Closet'. This is a excellent album.. Of course Em brings heat in vintage songs like 'Square Dance' and 'Business' I highly recommend this album..
