The name of the album is Nia which means purpose in Swahili.. The purpose of this album is to elevate and take the listner on a musical journey that will forever have him/her craving for more of the same. Blackalicious with this album has done what Hip Hop is suppose to do-move the crowd to a higher level. They're creativity, musically adventurous and relevant. This is an incredible album.It's obvious that these kids got skillz and can wreck any microphone.. hence they don't spend a lot of time bragging and boasting. instead they concentrate on bringing out their artistic/soulful side.. This album is a breath of fresh air at a time when so much seems redundant and uninspired..
