The aptly named Big Syke and the Outlawz visited the Seattle/Tacoma area this past weekend, making stops at FAMM Music and ARS Records, as well as stopping by the Off Beat nightclub in T-Town. I was unable to dodge a round of photos much to my dismay (I wasn't having a good hair day) but who's gonna argue with Big Syke when he demands that you to get in the picture? Big Syke's new album "Big Syke Daddy" is in stores now.
The CaliComm 2001 Tour stopped through Seattle on Monday night at the Showbox Theater for a wall-to-wall-packed-in-no-elbow-room-hands-in-the-air crowd. Motion Man, Kutmasta Kurt, Planet Asia and Rasco lit up the stage followed by The Hieroglyphics' Souls of Mischief and Pep Love. The Pharcyde took the stage with their band for an energetic set, followed by a rousing performance by the 'Cyde and Souls Of Mischief for a taste of their new Mighty Pythons project. After six weeks of touring these guys are deserving of a long restful weekend! Planet Asia will be heading to Europe on the 25th, and the Pharcyde will be heading there soon after.
