emcee Battle of Battles is set to
begin on the Freestyle Board. Mad props to Emcee Suspect
for putting this thing together..For
those who are interested, please
peep out the the rules governing
this battle..Get your rhymes
together and enter the arena..With a
little bit of luck you can be like
KRS-One or Canibus and
Reign Supreme!
Listed below are the rules for the
battle..
The Battling Commandments
1.When a battle begins, the emcee who is chosen first is obligated to post
within 2 days of having received the message. The 2nd emcee then has 2 days
to respond. Any emcee who does not respond within given time frame will be
disqualified.
2.All contestants must vote for at least 5 other battles taking place, and
be otherwise involved with the happenings of the board.
3.Contestants may only participate in one battle at a time, unless he is
publicly challenged which then lends to consideration the amount of time
he/she has to respond to either battle.
4.Each verse is to be 15-30 bars long, any additional verses will be
discarded, as the amount one can write is not representative of his/her
lyrical ability.
5.Emcees may not battle the same person twice in a row, or more than 3 times
in total.
6.Rematches are only considered when the defeated emcee can form a
substantial argument that false voting took place, match was uneven, votes
were close, etc.
7.Emcees with 20+ wins will be classified as ELITE, and will be granted
first spots in any tourneys that might take place. Any title holders other
than the tournament champion may be challenged for ownership of that title
by any emcee who meets the criteria for that title.
8.Winners will be decided through voting. The first emcee to receive ten
votes wins. Emcees may not vote for themselves or their opponents. Voting
more than once per battle is unacceptable. Voters must peep ALL rounds. If
someone votes and is not in the article history of all posts, their vote is
thrown out. ANY emcee caught using multiple handles to battle, vote, or post
will be banned from accessing boards. Any and all spamming or otherwise
counter-productive material will be deleted.
9.There are 2 rounds per battle, unless a higher or lower amount is agreed
upon by both emcees. As a default, the first emcee to be chosen randomly
must post first unless both opponents agree on a different arrangement.
10. All battle verses are to be posted under the same thread. The main
subject of all battle threads will appear as follows and will be posted by
me: Emcee Suspect

Voting takes place after both emcees have posted all rounds. At this time,
the first emcee to post will post a new message entitled: VOTE. Identify who
you are voting for by posting under this message with the name of the emcee
you are voting for in the subject area.
