In other news OJ Simpson is back at again as he continues to hang tough with the Hip Hop crowd. For folks who don't remember, last month OJ visited Hot 97 in New York and talked about how Hip Hop got him through the tough times he experienced during his trial in 1995. Over the past year he has hosted a couple of events including one in Florida with Noreaga.
Now OJ is set to host another Hip Hop concert that features Foxy Brown, Juvenile and Lil Ronnie. This one will take place on Saturday, March 2 in Cincinnatti. Now I like a good concert like the next man, however OJ's high profile appearnce are angering Black leaders in Cincinnatti, because they have called for an economic boycott. They have asked all entertainers expecially Black ones not to do business in Cincinnatti. This is to protest the dismissal of charges for a white police officer who shot an unarmed Blackman last year. It marked the 15th police shooting death in 5 years. The incident set off three days of riots. Thus far all sorts of high profile entertainers like Smokey Robinson and Bill Cosby have all canceled shows. Shame on OJ and Foxy and Juvenile for sliding through Talk about political awareness or lack thereof... They all get WACK Awards for that..
What makes this whole thing even worse is that Cincy's white Mayor is now acussing the Black Civic leaders of being terrorists. He said for them to call an economic boycott is economic terrorism. He too gets a WACK Award.
